We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Smart Electricity for Buildings project, a groundbreaking initiative with a budget of €3.7 million, aimed at establishing Centers of Excellence and innovation hubs in smart electricity solutions for buildings.
This is a key step in advancing Macedonia’s contributions to energy-efficient and sustainable building solutions, while aligning with broader European Union priorities.
At the recent event in Skopje, Macedonia, the project’s strategic importance was highlighted by distinguished panel discussions featuring three national partners: Emkice KIC, the Center for South East Planning Region, and SSKM-Sojuz na Stopanski Komori na Makedonija.
Key topics included training, innovation, and workforce mobility, as well as the collaborative opportunities that lie ahead.
This initiative is designed to develop Centres of Vocational Excellence to support the Smart Specialization of the region.
The project will also establish international knowledge hubs for Vocational Education and Training (VET) excellence systems, aiming to be world-class reference points for upskilling and reskilling professionals in the sector.
The project spans across seven EU countries (Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, The Netherlands, and North Macedonia), creating a vibrant network of organizations working together to advance vocational excellence.
