European Commission received 284 project proposals by higher education institutions eager to build strategic cooperation alliances and work in close cooperation with economic and industrial partners.
Applicants are competing for a total of €80 million available under the Widening call ‘European Excellence Initiative’ of the Horizon Europe programme.
The expected EU contribution per project is between €2-5 million.
Independent experts will soon start evaluating the proposals, and the selected ones will be contacted by April 2026. Stay tuned for more updates as we move through the evaluation phases.
